Recently I learned that it is very common for teachers in poorer school districts to spend significant amounts of their own money to provide the students in their classrooms with basic school supplies that their low-income families simply cannot afford.
Many of these teachers also keep a drawerful of snacks like granola bars, trail mix and even PB&J in their classrooms because they know you can’t teach a child who is hungry, and many of these children don’t get enough to eat at home.

Living Genuine Love provided a group of these dedicated teachers and their students with packages filled with urgently needed classroom supplies: pencils, sharpeners, pens, glue sticks, erasers, scissors, granola bars, Kleenex packs, rulers, paper, spiral notebooks, and stickers in a storage container.
These supplies help ensure every child has the necessary school supplies to succeed—no matter their families’ financial circumstances.
